Josh
Lead Vocals, Guitars
About
Josh: “Um,
in the beginning, I taught myself to play acoustic guitar. I used my dad's
old 6-string and chord books. In high school I started writing cheesy poetry
and my own little cheesy guitar riffs and put them together to make songs.
I recorded a CD to impress a girl… instead I attracted three dudes,
and now we make music together. I can also play drums.
“I’m a pastor’s kid. I enjoy writing songs, but I write other things too. Like books, and stories, and erotica. Not erotica. I attend George Mason University, which is the king of all universities. Starbucks? Yes please.”
Item of Particular Interest: “Matt is my landlord. He lords my land.”
Musical Gear: “Takamine and Yamaha acoustic guitars, and a Turser double-cut LP through a Peavey Keyboard Amp. The amp is large and heavy and hurts my hands to carry. I sing through a Shure SM58, if that is of interest to you.”

Chaz
Percussion
About
Chaz: “Chaz
is short for… Chaz Ross. I like music… I work in a music store
and sing to myself often. I started playing drums in 8th grade, and I played
trumpet in band… Wynton Marsalis is my idol (look him up). None of this
is particularly relevant, but you must think so, because you’re still
reading it. I enjoy a nice pair of tight-fitting pants. A Samuel Adams, tastiest
of beers, is often found within my tight grip.”
“I go to George Mason University, where I study music. I try to keep an open mind about everything, without exception. Except gays. Kidding.”
Item of Particular Interest: “I am unusually small.”
Musical Gear: “Gretsch drum kit, Sabian cymbals. I carve my own drumsticks… from slightly larger drumsticks.”

Justin
Backing Vocals, Guitars
About
Justin: “I
like jellybeans and peaches. I do like peach-flavored jellybeans, though not
as much as each item separately. I went to George Mason University, where I
proudly graduated in 2005, and I currently work as a graphic designer for the
man.
“I’m also an artist and a lover, and I can do a spin-kick—though I only do so when in extreme danger. I play guitar and have moderate political views… those two things have nothing to do with each other. Matt is responsible for getting me into music, and encouraged me to buy my first guitar. Man, that guitar was a piece of crap.”
Item of Particular Interest: “I used to collect rocks. Not gemstones, just rocks .”
Musical Gear: “I play my Schecter Tempest and Epiphone LP through a Traynor tube amp. There are lots of effect pedals in between. I don’t know what most of them do… but I like the blinking lights.”

Matt
Bass guitar
About
Matt: “Halo
is a passion of mine: challenge L33t 3lit3 on Xbox live if you dare. If you’re
and EoO fan, you should let me win so that I can have better stats. I started
musically with acoustic guitar, and can also play the violin. I snowboard,
and my board is taller than yours. Want a good idea for a snack? Ice cream
on popcorn. I dislike liberals, and therefore everyone else in the band.
“I work for an IT company in Alexandria VA, where I am drastically underpaid. I ride two bad-ass vehicles: a Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide and a Honda Civic Hybrid. My shed is the largest one in all of Virginia, and almost qualifies as a barn.”
Item of Particular Interest: “I rent rooms in my house to Josh and Chaz. I overcharge dramatically, but don’t tell them.”
Musical Gear: “I play a Fender Jazz Bass and a Dean 6-string through some hugely loud towering stacked Ampeg bass amps. I keep them turned down low in practice, otherwise I blow the electrical circuit in the house.”
